Chandler introduces himself to a good looking girl (Kathy), only to find out that she's dating Joey; as they get to know each other, Chandler's feelings get deeper. Whenever Rachel is around, Ross goes out of his way to mention Amanda, a single mother he's been seeing; Rachel counters by dating Josh, a much younger man; however, Amanda uses Ross as a babysitter so she can date another man, and Josh steals from Rachel. Ross uses weird gestures he made up as a kid instead of offensive ones. Phoebe has a bad cold which makes her singing voice sexy; when she recovers she desperately tries to catch another cold; she even kisses Gunther.
Monica: So why don't you go and ask her out? Oh, what's the worse thing that could happen?
Chandler: I could die.
Rachel: Ross, you guys went out once. You took your kids to Chuck E. Cheese, and you didn't even kiss her.
Chandler: I tell people secrets. I makes them like me.
Chandler: All right. I'm gonna do it. I'm gonna go get shot down. Any advice?
Monica: Be yourself. But not too much.
Chandler: I was just trying figure out a way to, uh, demonstrate how to get my exceptionally large feet into my even bigger mouth.
Phoebe: Before I start, I just wanna say that, um, I have a cold. So if I sneeze in the middle of a song, it's not on purpose. Oh! Except the last verse of Pepper People.
Chandler: So, uh, Joey tells me you two met in acting class.
Kathy: Yeah, they teamed us up as partners. Joey picked three scenes for us to do.
All of them had us making out.
Chandler: Oh, it's a good thing, actually. Because, uh, he used to make me rehearse with him.
Phoebe (singing): My sticky shoes, my sticky, sticky shoes, why you stick on me... baby.
Monica: It's this dumb thing that Ross made up, 'cause he was trying to fool our parents. It's a way of giving the finger without actually having to give it. I remember I cried the night he made that up. It was the first time I realized I was cooler than my big brother.
Phoebe: I lost my sexy phlegm!
Monica: [Sneeze] Oh, gosh, Phoebe, I think I caught your cold!
Phoebe: You mean you stole it!
Monica: [Sneeze]
Phoebe: Don't cover your mouth when you do that!
Joey: Kathy's being really nice, and you just walked away. I thought we had a deal.
Chandler: Hey, look... what do you want from me?
Joey: I want you to like her! But if that's too damn difficult for you, then the
least you could do is pretend!
Chandler: I am pretending.
Joey: Well, then do it better!
Chandler: Okay, what do ya say I, uh, go over there and tell her how much I like her?
No, no, it'd be good. I could tell how much I've been thinking about her; that I haven't
stopped thinking about her since the moment we met; that I'm so fantastically, over-the-top,
wanna-slit-my-own-throat in love with her, that for every minute of every hour of every day,
I can't believe my own damn bad luck that you met her first!
Joey: Yeah, well, that's pretty good. But you might want to tone it down a little.
Phoebe (singing): Parading, goats are parading; parading down the street. Parading, goats are parading; leaving little treats.
Phoebe (singing): I'm, I'm still waiting for my papier-mache' man.
Gunther: Rachel?
Rachel: Yeah?
Gunther: I don't know if you heard about what happened between me and Phoebe the other day?
Rachel: No!
Gunther: Well, we kissed. I... I didn't initiate the kiss, but I also didn't stop it, and
I've been feeling guilty.
Rachel (puzzled): Okay.
Gunther: So, um, are we cool?
Rachel (more puzzled): Okay.
Gunther: I knew you'd understand.
