Ross and Rachel spend part of the night together, their kiss having led to more. Ross decides he wants to be with Rachel, but she views their night together as the perfect way to say goodbye. Monica and Chandler coach Erica through delivery at the hospital, and all are surprised when she delivers twins. Joey buys a new chick and duck as a house-warming gift for Chandler and Monica, the previous pair having gone to that "special farm" for old birds. Gunther confesses him love to Rachel.
Phoebe: This is, like, the best day ever. Ever! You guys might get back together; Monica and Chandler are having
their baby; there are chicks and ducks in the world again! Oh! I feel like I'm in a musical! [Singing:]
Aahh, aahh, aahh, When the sun comes up, bright and beaming! And the moon comes...
Rachel (entering): Morning!
Phoebe: Guess you'll never know how it ends.
Chandler: What do you say we keep one and just, like, have an option on the other?
Monica: We can't split them up!
Chandler: Why not? We could give each of them half a medallion, and then years later they'll find each other,
and be reunited! I mean, that's a great day for everybody!
Phoebe: Oh, okay, this it the part of the musical when there'd be a really good, convincing song. [Singing:]
Bum bum bum Don't take no for an answer! Bum bum bum Don't let love fly away! Bum bum bum bum bum bum...
Rachel (entering): Hi!
Phoebe: Can't a girl finish a song around here?
Gunther: Rachel?
Rachel: Yeah.
Gunther: I know you're leaving tonight, but I just have to tell you... I love you. Now I don't know if that
changes your plans at all, but I thought you should know.
Rachel: Gunther! Oh, I love you, too. Probably not in the same way, but I do! And when I'm in a cafe having
coffee, or see a man with hair brighter than the sun, I'll think of you.
